Job Summary

Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to support major construction and supervision projects across Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure works, advanced knowledge of planning methodologies, and the ability to ensure project completion within the contractual timeframe.

This role requires strict adherence to contractual obligations, proactive risk management, and compliance with project control standards to avoid delays, disputes, and potential penalties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for all phases of construction and supervision.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the approved baseline schedule.
  • Ensure project completion within the contractual timeframe, preventing delays that may lead to penalties or contractual claims.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to validate progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Analyze productivity, resource allocation, and sequencing to optimize project timelines.
  • Identify risks and delays, evaluate their impact, and recommend mitigation measures to avoid contractual breaches.
  • Prepare revised schedules, recovery plans, and time‑impact analyses when required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and quality standards throughout all planning activities.
  • Support claims analysis, extension‑of‑time evaluations, and delay impact assessments in accordance with contract provisions.
  • Participate in technical and progress meetings, presenting planning updates and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support contractual compliance and protect the company’s interests in case of disputes.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in project planning tools, including:
  • + Primavera P6
  • + Microsoft Project
  • + Project Control and Scheduling Techniques
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, earthworks, site development).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills for progress tracking, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent reporting skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and avoidance of penalties related to schedule delays.
  • Familiarity with risk management, critical path analysis, and project control methodologies.
  • Understanding of claims, contractual correspondence, and time‑impact analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in large construction or supervision companies in Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure projects.
