About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Planning Engineer with proven expertise in high-end luxury building construction projects including high-rise residential towers, luxury hotels, and commercial developments.
The candidate must possess strong planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and project control capabilities with hands-on experience in large-scale fast-track projects within GCC/UAE.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling complete planning functions from tender stage to project execution and closeout while coordinating with project management, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare detailed baseline programs using Primavera P6/MS Project for high-rise residential, hotel, and commercial projects.
- Develop master programs, target programs, recovery programs, look-ahead schedules, and resource-loaded schedules.
- Prepare construction sequencing considering structural, architectural, MEP, façade, and finishing activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedule and identify critical delays.
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) and recommend mitigation/recovery actions.
Project Controls & Monitoring
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with KPI tracking.
- Monitor productivity, manpower, material, and equipment utilization.
- Coordinate with site execution teams for progress verification and target achievement.
- Maintain dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and earned value analysis reports.
- Evaluate subcontractor progress and performance against approved schedules.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, MEP, and construction teams to ensure proper planning integration.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, procurement schedules, and material lead times.
- Identify interface issues and construction constraints affecting project timelines.
- Support project management in strategic planning and execution methodology.
Delay & Claims Management
- Perform delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and claims support documentation.
- Maintain records of delays, variations, and project impacts.
- Prepare revised schedules based on approved changes and variations.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend progress review meetings with clients, consultants, and management.
- Present planning reports, recovery plans, and project status updates professionally.
- Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and project deliverables.
