Planner
Role Overview
At Brooklinen, thoughtful planning helps us bring everyday comfort to more customers. As our Planner, you’ll help make sure the right products are in the right places at the right time. Reporting to our Director of Planning and Allocation, you’ll forecast sales, plan inventory, and serve as a day-to-day planning partner to our Retail team.
You’ll work across bedroom essentials, including comforters and pillows, alongside growing categories like throws and accessories. If you enjoy digging into the numbers, collaborating with others, and turning insights into action, this is an opportunity to make an impact and grow with us.
What You’ll Do
Own planning for your categories. Partner with Merchandising on assortments, build open-to-buy forecasts, and plan inventory purchases to support sales and maintain healthy weeks of supply.
Maximize store performance through allocation strategy and execution. Own weekly allocation cycles, tailor product mix to each location, and improve processes that drive sell-through and inventory efficiency.
Connect planning across the business. Work with Marketing and eCommerce to understand sales trends, partner with Merchandising and Production on SKU-level inventory decisions, and support Business Development as new channels grow.
Turn data into action. Analyze performance, spot risks and opportunities, and share clear recommendations that help the team decide what to do next.
What You'll Bring
2–4 years of inventory planning experience, ideally in a startup or growing business.
1–2 years of hands-on allocation experience in a business with both online and physical stores. Experience supporting a small store footprint counts.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Clear communication and strong working relationships. You can explain your recommendations and work closely with partners across teams.
Curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail. You take ownership, adapt as priorities shift, and are excited to keep learning.
You don’t need a background in home goods—we’d love to hear how your experience and perspective could help us grow.
Benefits & Perks
Up to 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee-only)
Fertility & family-building support (up to $20,000 lifetime)
401(k) with a 4% company match
16 weeks fully paid parental leave
20 vacation days (25 after 5 years) plus year-round Summer Fridays
Hybrid work schedule with two core in-office days (Tues–Thurs)
Remote Thanksgiving week and remote last week of December
Up to four additional remote weeks per year with approval
40% employee discount plus seasonal product allowance
One Medical, Talkspace, and $1,000 per year via Joon for wellness
