Role overview
The Placement Officer / Placement Coordinator supports trainee readiness, inclusive employment, and placement outcomes.
The role works with the Project Lead – Livelihood & Employment, trainers, employers, placement agencies, and families.
Readiness and placement
- Assess exit and job readiness with trainers using standardized tools and checklists, and help prepare candidates for work.
- Ensure employability skills, workplace readiness, and POSH training before internship or employment deployment.
- Manage job analysis, candidate profiling, job matching, interview coordination, placement, and post-placement follow-up.
Coaching and partnerships
- Coordinate quarterly progress discussions with parents and caregivers and maintain documentation and formal sign-offs.
- Provide or coordinate on-site job coaching and workplace support until trainees achieve functional independence and stability.
- Develop employer and placement-agency relationships and identify suitable employment and internship opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Tracking and reporting
- Track internship, placement, employment, and retention outcomes across programme locations.
- Maintain candidate, placement, employer, and tracking records and report outcomes, challenges, trends, and support needs to leadership.
- Contribute to the foundation's livelihood and employment ecosystem and inclusive employment practices.
Pay and benefits
- Pay starts at ₹35,000 per month.
