Piping Field Engineer

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate piping engineering documentation and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate with Engineering Contractors regarding piping design, technical queries, and field requirements.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, Piping Material Specifications, Valve Specifications, and piping isometrics .
• Review piping arrangements against the 3D model and identify discrepancies or required modifications.
• Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning activities at the yard.
• Coordinate with piping, construction, commissioning, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Follow up on field modifications and ensure that relevant engineering documentation is properly updated.
• Support the resolution of technical queries, site issues, and design inconsistencies.
• Participate in inspections, walkdowns, and technical meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with piping stress engineers and other specialists when required.
• Support commissioning and start-up activities related to piping systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering , or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience .
• Previous experience on a major offshore, FPSO, FLNG, LNG, or equivalent project.
• Experience working during construction at a yard through commissioning activities .
• Strong ability to read and understand: P&IDs Piping Material Specifications Valve Specifications Piping Isometrics 3D piping models
