Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools
  • Install and assemble piping systems, valves, fittings, and fixtures
  • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and proper operation
  • Repair and maintain existing piping systems and equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
  • Collaborate with welders, plumbers, and other trades on job sites
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Traveling is required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proven experience as a pipefitter in industrial, commercial, or construction settings
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong knowledge of piping materials, tools, and installation techniques
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Time management skills and reliability

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. from floor to waist and from waist to overhead
  • Ability to climb and use ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts
  • Ability to stand for 6+ hours per day
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot and cold)
  • Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug test and background check
  • Efficient, organized, and willing to adapt to change
  • Ability to self-direct with reliable attendance
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude
