Physical Therapy Aide - Carol Stream, IL

Position Overview

Essential Duties

• Prepare patients for treatment, assist clinicians, and provide routine treatment support.
• Assist patients with exercises and functional activities under professional direction.
• Provide hot and cold packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other routine modalities.
• Clean treatment areas and equipment and maintain linens, restrooms, and supplies.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, file paperwork and charts, and track clinic inventory.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or internship experience is preferred.
• Previous clinical aide or rehabilitation technician experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, attention to detail, and time management are required.
• Compassion, teamwork, thorough task completion, and patient-focused service are expected.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking are required.
• Basic office equipment knowledge is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• The role requires talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, keyboarding, and other office activities.
• The employee may occasionally lift or move 20 to 25 pounds.
• Vision requirements include near, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

• The position works in an internal clinic office with generally low noise levels.

Compensation

• The listed pay range is USD 15 to 20 per hour.
