Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice within the United States.
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in physical therapy practice.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as outpatient, inpatient, or home health environments.
  • Additional certifications such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS).
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine physical therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to address patient impairments and functional limitations.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide patient and family education on therapy goals and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, ethical standards, and organizational policies during patient care delivery.
