Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher – Ballet Specialty

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Teach fundamental movement skills, physical fitness, sports, and recreational activities to students of various age groups.
• Design and conduct ballet classes appropriate to students' age, skill level, and abilities.
• Choreograph and prepare students for school performances, competitions, and special events.
• Assess and monitor student progress in both Physical Education and ballet activities.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment during all physical activities.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of sports and ballet equipment.
• Encourage students to develop teamwork, discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship.
• Organize and participate in school sports events, wellness programs, and extracurricular activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school administrators regarding student development and performance.
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, assessments, and reports as required by the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Dance Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.
• Valid teaching qualification/license (if applicable).
• Proven experience as a Physical Education Teacher and/or Ballet Instructor.
• Formal training or certification in Ballet is preferred.
• Experience in choreographing and directing student dance performances.
• Strong knowledge of physical fitness, child development, and dance techniques.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of different ages and skill levels.
• CPR and First Aid Certification is an advantage.
• Experience working in an international or school setting is preferred.
