Pharmacy Technician

Apply medication knowledge to ensure accuracy in processing prescriptions, refills, and prior authorizations.

Identify and escalate potential prescribing or workflow issues to senior team members as needed.

Collaborate with RNs, providers, and coaches to coordinate care and resolve member issues.

Communicate updates clearly and document all activities accurately within established systems.

Process clinical tickets promptly and accurately, routing faxes, labs, and records appropriately.

Follow established SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance.

Support efficiency and quality improvement initiatives under senior guidance.

Provide dependable support to clinical staff for both routine and urgent requests.

Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and ongoing training opportunities.

Pharmacy Technician Certification or equivalent training required.

1–2 years of experience in pharmacy operations or telehealth support preferred.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation is $22/hr. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers .
