Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician/data entry technician with good working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills necessary for data entry, reporting, including documentation and billing. An ideal candidate would have experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system and have some exposure to Pharmacy Automation (i.e. TCGRx, Pyxis, etc.)
  • Experience handling and documenting returned medical products from serviced facility back to the pharmacy
  • Must possess a valid Maryland Board of Pharmacy technician license and/or national pharmacy technician certification
  • Preferrable to possess a valid Maryland driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in accordance with State and Federal Laws, processes return medications from the facilities we service for credit and/or destruction and assists with other daily tasks as directed.
  • Effectively operates the Pharmacy computer system to ensure timely and accurate returns documentation and processing.
  • Under the supervision of a pharmacist, coordinate pickup of medications for destruction from third party vendors and/or other regulatory means
  • Accurately maintains inventory, returns appropriately credited products back into the pharmacy inventory, and assists with semi-annual pharmacy physical inventory.
