Role Description
This is a full-time Pharmacist role based in Dubai, structured as a hybrid position that combines on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility.
The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, and providing clear counseling on proper use, side effects, and interactions.
Day-to-day tasks include maintaining pharmacy records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, overseeing inventory and storage of pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products, and supporting medication therapy management when needed.
The role also involves collaborating with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, resolving customer inquiries, and promoting responsible use of both prescription and over-the-counter cosmetic and wellness products.
The Pharmacist is expected to uphold high standards of professional ethics, contribute to workflow efficiency, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist with an accredited pharmacy degree (BPharm, PharmD, or equivalent) and eligibility to practice in Dubai.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and safe dispensing practices.
- Experience or interest in cosmetics, dermatological products, and over-the-counter wellness items.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems, electronic prescription platforms, and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and commitment to regulatory and safety compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior retail pharmacy or clinical pharmacy experience is preferred; experience in a cosmetics or beauty-focused setting is an advantage.
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills (such as Arabic) are beneficial.
