Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist at Qatar Red Crescent Society, located in Doha, Qatar.
The Pharmacist will oversee the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications while maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical guidelines.
Key duties include reviewing prescriptions, counseling patients, ensuring proper storage of medications, managing inventory, and maintaining meticulous records of pharmaceutical activities.
The role also involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and implementing pharmaceutical care practices aligned with QRCS’s humanitarian mission.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, prescription regulations, and pharmaceutical guidelines
- Experience in medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing prescriptions and monitoring patient drug therapies
- Excellent communication skills to counsel patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and quality standards
- Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and related technologies
- Understanding of humanitarian principles and willingness to contribute to QRCS’s mission
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field; licensing as a pharmacist in Qatar is required
- Prior experience in a humanitarian or non-profit setting is an advantage
