About This Role
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team, committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in managing pharmaceutical needs and ensuring the effective distribution of medications. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to patients.
- Review and interpret physician orders for appropriate drug therapy.
- Advise patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and inventory management.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct medication therapy management to improve patient health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to pharmacy.
- Provide immunization services and health screenings as permitted by law.
- Educate healthcare staff on drug interactions and side effects.
- Evaluate patient medication history to prevent drug interactions and allergies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pharmacological research.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in the relevant state of practice.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug therapy, and medication management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills for patient and healthcare collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical software systems and technology.
