About Altea

Altea describes itself as a fitness and wellness destination combining boutique studios, recovery, and lifestyle amenities under one membership.

The company emphasizes a premium member experience.

Role overview

The Personal Training Manager owns the personal training business side of the trainer team.

The role shares accountability with the High Performance Manager, who leads LF3 and Signature Studio delivery; close alignment is required.

At top-performing clubs, trainers average 100 hours per month, which the employer attributes to its model and leadership.

What you'll lead

  • Own PT revenue, session volume, renewals, package sales, and client retention.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop trainers and build a team whose results demonstrate the program's effectiveness.
  • Manage the pipeline of new-member appointments, masterclasses, and renewals.
  • Partner with sales and the High Performance Manager to integrate PT into the member journey from day one.
  • Lead from the floor, track trainer client relationships and close rates, and address stalled momentum.
  • Build trainer growth opportunities and maintain program standards and performance.

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of personal training or fitness business experience in a premium environment.
  • At least 3 years of progressive people leadership, including direct management of personal trainers or a coaching team.
  • Demonstrated ability to hit PT revenue targets and manage the full PT sales cycle.
  • Strong financial literacy, understanding of PT revenue drivers and KPIs, and ability to act on performance data.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually.
  • Criminal background check required before commencement.

Compensation and benefits

  • Pay rates are confidential; the role offers annual and monthly performance bonus opportunities and ESOP.
  • Benefits include group health benefits, an Altea membership and Plus One, vacation and paid Flex days, a four-day work-week program for 12 days annually, and a cellphone allowance.

Success measures

The PT program generates revenue at or above benchmark, and trainers retain clients, grow their books, and deliver sessions to Altea standards.

At least one team member has progressed to a larger opportunity; the manager and High Performance Manager are aligned, and the program runs at a high level without the manager on the floor.
