Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end performance and non-functional testing strategies for enterprise applications and shared platforms.
• Perform architecture reviews and workload modelling to validate scalability, resilience, operability, and system stability.
• Develop and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using industry-standard tools.
• Analyse system bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis across applications, middleware, infrastructure, and databases.
• Perform profiling and optimization of applications, services, and platform components to improve system efficiency and throughput.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and architecture teams to resolve performance-related issues.
• Validate user experience and front-end performance using client-side performance analysis tools.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability frameworks across application and infrastructure layers.
• Integrate performance engineering practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Support cloud and infrastructure performance troubleshooting across AWS, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Conduct database performance analysis and optimization for SQL and NoSQL platforms.
• Design and execute chaos engineering experiments to validate system resilience and fault tolerance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and establish performance engineering best practices across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Performance Engineering and Non-Functional Testing for enterprise-scale systems.
• Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as:
• LoadRunner
• Gatling
• JMeter (preferred)
• Experience with client-side performance testing tools such as:
• Sitespeed.io
• WebPageTest
• Strong expertise in profiling and debugging tools including:
• YourKit
• JProfiler
• Experience in performance tuning and root cause analysis across applications and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Linux/Unix
• Windows environments
• Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Experience working with AWS cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Good understanding of:
• Virtualization
• Containerization
• Kubernetes / orchestration platforms
• Infrastructure scalability and reliability
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools:
• APM tools
• Logging & tracing platforms
• OpenTelemetry
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Exposure to chaos engineering concepts and tools such as:
• Harness Chaos
• Gremlin
