Lead people operations across recruiting, training, HR compliance, and payroll, wage, and benefits administration.
Recruitment and Training
- Instruct management staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques.
- Conduct initial interviews for all positions.
- Analyze recruitment sources and meet external agencies to support Affirmative Action compliance.
- Ensure applicant tracking is current and follows company guidelines.
- Implement, administer, and monitor training programs.
- Facilitate training classes, review methods, and recommend improvements to management.
Compliance and Compensation
- Review management practices for compliance with HR-related federal and state regulations and court rulings.
- Implement and communicate new HR procedures and requirements.
- Supervise compliance with the hotel's Affirmative Action Plan.
- Manage payroll, wage, and benefits programs.
- Ensure accurate and equitable wage and benefits administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Communicate effectively with team members and employee representatives and resolve conflicts with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Read, listen, and communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
- Prepare official memoranda, correspondence, instructions, guidance, and counseling communications.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
- Perform calculations for salary, benefit administration, and departmental expense forecasting.
- Prepare written correspondence and observe workplace operations for concerns.
