About This Role
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist with experience to support the execution of security assurance activities across enterprise systems and applications.
The role focuses on identifying security gaps, validating controls, and ensuring effective remediation in alignment with organizational security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute cybersecurity assurance activities, including:
Basic Source Code Review (as applicable)
Perform security control validation and configuration reviews across:
Infrastructure (servers, networks)
Applications
Remote access solutions
Conduct manual configuration reviews, such as:
Firewall rule analysis
System hardening validation
Identify, assess, and validate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, including:
Risk classification (based on severity and impact)
Providing clear and actionable remediation recommendations
Track and follow up on remediation activities:
Ensure timely closure of findings
Validate fixes and confirm risk mitigation
Support assurance coverage for:
Production environments
Business-critical systems
Ensure all activities are aligned with:
Internal security policies and standards
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Handle sensitive data obtained during assessments securely and in compliance with policies
Prepare clear, structured, and professional security assessment reports for stakeholders
Assist in compliance and audit-related activities:
Gap assessments
Control validation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience
in cybersecurity assurance, vulnerability management, or related roles
Basic understanding of:
Network security and system hardening
Common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
Security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners, basic PT tools)
