Peer Support Specialist I - Porterville One Stop

Porterville, CA | Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.22 per hour

Position Summary

The Peer Support Specialist I provides peer support services that promote wellness, recovery, and resilience for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group peer support, facilitate recovery-focused groups, assist clients with individualized recovery goals, maintain documentation standards, coordinate community resources, and advocate for client needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, understanding of wellness and recovery principles, and qualifications related to lived experience as required by the program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid/CPR certification, crisis intervention training, familiarity with community mental health resources, and bilingual skills are preferred.
