Qualifications Required

  • Identify as a person in recovery and successfully complete Peer Recovery Coach training, as well as obtain certification as a Certified Intention Peer Support Specialist. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to transport clients to appointments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Function as a member of the Milestone detox treatment team which includes responsibilities such as the following:
  • Work in a professional, compassionate manner with Milestone clients.
  • Work in a collegial manner with other Milestone staff, as well as community partners and stakeholders, and representing Milestone in a professional manner.
  • Participate with counseling and nursing staff in the development and timely implementation of discharge plans of Milestone detox clients.
  • Document activities in client record.
  • Collect data as required
  • Participate in supervision with the Clinical Team Lead.
  • Facilitate transport and escort clients to first appointments with community providers, including follow up after first appointments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of clients served, and otherwise operate in a professional manner.
  • May be called upon to offer perspectives and professional opinions as pertains to the development of public policy on issues of concern to Milestone.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • Wednesday - Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm.

Peer Navigator Compensation

  • $20.00/hour
  • Peer Navigator Shift Differentials: Extra $2.50/hour for weekend shifts
