Clinical Duties
- Conduct routine child health check-ups
- Monitor growth and developmental milestones
- Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses (respiratory infections, gastroenteritis, asthma, allergies, etc.)
- Manage chronic pediatric conditions
- Provide emergency pediatric care when required
- Interpret laboratory tests and imaging reports
Preventive Care
- Administer vaccinations as per national immunization schedule
- Provide nutritional guidance and breastfeeding counseling
- Offer anticipatory guidance to parents regarding child safety and development
- Conduct school health assessments
Hospital Responsibilities (if applicable)
- Manage admitted pediatric patients
- Attend neonatal resuscitation and deliveries (if required)
- Coordinate with NICU/PICU teams
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
Collaboration
- Work with nurses, neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, dietitians, and social workers
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary
