Key Responsibilities
- Perform minimally invasive surgical procedures on pediatric patients, including laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries
- Assess, diagnose, and develop surgical treatment plans tailored to pediatric patients
- Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive perioperative care
- Monitor patient progress post-surgery and manage any complications effectively
- Educate patients' families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with institutional policies
- Stay updated on emerging minimally invasive surgical techniques and integrate them into practice when appropriate
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in Pediatric Surgery
- Board certification or equivalent qualification in Pediatric Surgery
- Proven experience in minimally invasive pediatric surgical procedures
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Excellent surgical skills and understanding of pediatric anatomy and physiology
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
