Position Overview
The Electrical Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and
maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
This role ensures safe, efficient operation of
electrical components across residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
The technician
must follow electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures while delivering high
quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
- Install electrical components such as switches, VCU , BCM , and control systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Test electrical systems using meters, testers, and diagnostic tools
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
- Document repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform on call duties when required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe working environment
- Trim -DE trim Cars in readiness to fit or remove electrical components.
Skills
- Proven experience in electrical repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and repair equipment
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Low Voltage & High voltage knowledge is preferable
- o Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems
- Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, or automation systems
• Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20–25 kg
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying temperatures
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime or on call shifts when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or similar repair/ production
- environment.
