Taaleem is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer for a six-month fixed-term contract.
The role supports accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key accountabilities
- Execute payroll administration policies and process monthly and hourly payroll accurately and on time.
- Verify time reports, calculate hours worked, and maintain leave accruals and records.
- Coordinate employee funding and appointment information with Administration teams and resolve salary and pay discrepancies.
- Calculate deductions and maintain data on hires, terminations, and wage adjustments.
- Maintain payroll records in ERP software; reconcile payroll figures with Finance and support audit compliance.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, guide staff on payroll procedures, and support agreed HR service levels.
- Prepare final and end-of-service settlements and submit documents needed to release payments.
- Handle HR queries, maintain employment records, and track employees who have left the business.
- Support HR business partners and undertake additional projects agreed with HR leadership.
Education and experience
- A good level of education and a bachelor’s degree are requested.
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced HR role.
- Previous HRMS, WPS, or similar-system experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English is requested.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and strong numerical ability.
- Communication, teamwork, solution focus, and ability to work on own initiative.
