Role overview

Payroll operations

• Manage the monthly payroll cycle, including salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and leave adjustments.
• Review and validate payroll data received from HR, Finance, and department managers.
• Ensure salary processing is accurate and timely in line with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Manage UAE WPS requirements and coordinate with banks, payroll providers, and internal teams.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, employee balances, deductions, and payment records.
• Prepare payroll reports, cost analyses, and management summaries.

Controls and team leadership

• Handle payroll inquiries and resolve salary-related discrepancies professionally.
• Maintain confidential employee payroll records and strong data security.
• Support payroll audits, compliance reviews, and internal control processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems, automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Lead and develop the payroll team while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of payroll experience, including supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, employee compensation, and payroll controls.
• Practical understanding of UAE payroll and WPS requirements.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll platforms, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
• Strong attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity; communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Payroll, HR, Finance, or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
