Payroll Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely monthly payroll execution.
• Oversee payroll processing activities including salaries, allowances, overtime, leave, deductions, and EOSB in line with UAE Labour Law.
• Ensure full compliance with WPS regulations, including review and submission of SIF files.
• Validate payroll outputs, reconciliations, and payroll reports prepared by the team before final approval.
• Manage payroll journal entries and ensure accurate posting into SAP ERP systems.
• Act as the key liaison between HR and Finance for payroll inputs, cost allocations, budgeting, and approvals.
• Lead payroll audits, ensuring strong internal controls, documentation, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Monitor leave balances, final settlements, provisions, and payroll-related accruals.
• Handle complex payroll queries and escalations from employees and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements within SAP and HRMS tools.
• Prepare management-level payroll reports and MIS dashboards using advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros preferred).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of payroll experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• Strong expertise in UAE Labour Law, WPS, and EOSB calculations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills (reporting, dashboards, data analysis).
• Experience in multi-entity and large workforce payroll environments.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
