About The Role
MIAH Integrated Water & Irrigation Systems Trading L.L.C. is seeking a dedicated and result-oriented Payment Collection Specialist to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer collections, following up on outstanding payments, maintaining healthy cash flow, and ensuring timely recovery of receivables while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices through phone calls, emails, and site visits when required.
- Prepare and send payment reminders, statements of account, and collection letters.
- Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate aging reports.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Projects, and Accounts departments regarding payment status and customer issues.
- Resolve payment discrepancies and assist in settling billing disputes.
- Arrange and follow up on cheque collections and payment schedules.
- Maintain proper records of all collection activities and customer communications.
- Escalate long-outstanding accounts to management for further action.
- Prepare weekly and monthly collection reports for management review.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to facilitate smooth collections.
- Support the finance department in account reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in payment collection, credit control, or accounts receivable.
- Previous experience in contracting, electromechanical, construction, or trading companies is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (Zoho Books experience is an advantage).
- Ability to work independently and achieve collection targets.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
