Position overview
The Client Service Representative role supports healthcare providers with electronic healthcare insurance payments.
The role provides payment details, payment-processing guidance, product enrollment assistance, and online portal registration support while following HIPAA requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Handle provider calls about payments and enrollment, and resolve outstanding payment issues.
- Explain electronic payment options, including credit cards and direct electronic funds transfer.
- Assist providers with direct electronic funds transfer enrollment, portal registration, setup, and basic troubleshooting.
- Navigate company platforms to provide thorough responses and support first-call resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of payment products, company policies, procedures, and provider privacy requirements.
- Follow scheduled shifts and meet monthly performance and attendance expectations.
Professional experience and qualifications
- 1–3 years of customer-service experience helping people.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability, basic troubleshooting skills, computer proficiency, and technical aptitude.
- Attention to detail, reliability, resilience, and resourcefulness in customer-service situations.
- Comfort using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
