Position Overview
Payable Accountant based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly VAT return.
- Preparing WHT return.
- Preparing payment vouchers, checks, and journal entries.
- Following up on advance payments to suppliers and employees.
- Reconciling book of accounts.
- Recording bank deposits and updating and distributing cash receipt logs.
- Posting cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
- Performing monthly bank reconciliation.
- Performing AP reconciliation on a daily basis.
- Preparing monthly and weekly payment forecast reports with sales, operations, and procurement teams.
- Handling petty cash.
- Preparing AP aging and following up with procurement department and suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- English proficiency is a must.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Effective communication and reporting.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Initiative and proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Knowledge about VAT and WHT.
Additional Duties
Assisting with monthly and yearly closing.
Any other tasks or duties as assigned by team lead or CA.
