Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Administration Executive to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Administration Executive, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of administrative tasks related to patient care and operations. Your role will involve ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining accurate patient records, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families. You will work closely with healthcare providers, support staff, and patients to ensure a seamless experience from admission to discharge. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records in the hospital information system.
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently and accurately.
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and their families consistently.
- Liaise with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Manage appointment scheduling, ensuring minimal wait times and optimal flow.
- Verify patient insurance details and handle billing queries effectively.
- Assist in preparing administrative reports and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Resolve any administrative issues or patient concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient-related information as per regulations.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers when necessary.
- Implement and follow hospital policies and procedures for patient administration.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss improvements in patient administration.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare administrative role is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required for patient interaction.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality is essential.
- Proficient in using hospital information systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
