Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and authorized guests.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, including employee and visitor entry.
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior of the building, maybe exterior patrols also depending on client site.
- Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and other building security equipment.
- Verify identification, credentials, and visitor access as required.
- Maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and security reports.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and unusual activity.
- Contact appropriate emergency personnel when necessary and assist with emergency response procedures.
- Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors.
- Enforce site-specific security policies, procedures, and access-control protocols.
- Monitor deliveries, contractors, and other authorized vendors entering the facility.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the security team.
- Communicate effectively with site management, client representatives, employees, and fellow security personnel.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.
