Requirements

• Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, as the work location is in Airdrie.
• Must possess a valid Alberta Security License.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel. Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process. Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized people. Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets. Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software. Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training. Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid provincial Security Guard License Working knowledge of security operations and procedures Excellent organizational skills Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports. Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office. Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset.
