Part-Time Gymnastic Assistant I

About the Department

Position Duties

• Assists with the instruction, coaching, and evaluation of participants in gymnastics programs. Works individually with students to help them progress in performing gymnastic moves. Assists with the preparation and set up of gymnastics equipment. Returns equipment to its original order. Direct, demonstrate, and lead essential gymnastic stretches to reduce the risk of injury. Assist with creating routines for gymnastic competitions. Assist with collection of money for leotard purchases and fundraisers. Assist children in selecting picture poses. Assist with providing first aid to participants if they are injured. Assist with planning and choreographing routines for parades and recitals. Distributes informative memos and flies as necessary. Assist with transporting equipment to camp and/or class locations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working with children and the ability to give instructions, and lead recreational activities required. Knowledge of gymnastics required.
