Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and removing old paint or rust
- Mix paints, coatings, and polishing materials according to specifications
- Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Polish surfaces to achieve smooth and high-quality finishes
- Inspect finished work for defects, uneven coating, or color mismatch
- Maintain tools, spray guns, polishing machines, and work areas
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete projects on time
- Estimate material requirements and minimize waste
