QUALIFICATIONS:

  • KNOWLEDGE
  • English language proficiency with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, packaging systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with project coordination and manufacturing operations.
  • CAD software proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Project coordination and project management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data collection and analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Developing packaging concepts and drawings.
  • Coordinating cross-functional projects.
  • Analyzing packaging performance and cost data.
  • Maintaining packaging documentation.
  • Facilitating project meetings and communication.
  • Supporting manufacturing implementation activities.
  • Conducting packaging-related investigations and problem solving.
  • Wear common protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses when in production areas.
  • Spend time in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Work under project deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Frequent interaction with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Continuous Improvement personnel.
  • Frequent computer and CAD software usage.

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Graphic Design, or related technical field preferred
  • Related Experience:
  • 0-3 years of packaging, manufacturing, engineering support, project coordination, or continuous improvement experience preferred
  • Job Training:
  • Several weeks to several months of training with experienced employees and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Graphic Design, or related technical field preferred
  • 0-3 years of packaging, manufacturing, engineering support, project coordination, or continuous improvement experience preferred
