This position reviews intake and packaging information, performs quality checks, and maintains accurate product and package records in Oregon’s seed-to-sale tracking system, Metrc.

Working with a variety of cannabis products from across Oregon, the Warehouse Packaging Associate helps ensure that products are properly tagged, tested, labeled, packaged, stored, and ready for compliant distribution. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with repetitive work, and a collaborative approach in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • · Review and cross-reference third-party intake sheets, packaging information, and Metrc records for accuracy and compliance.
  • · Break down third-party products into master packs, re-tag items in Metrc, and apply appropriate labels for distribution.
  • · Process supplemental, special, priority, and same-day orders based on operational needs.
  • · Inspect packaged products for correct quantities, damage, packaging integrity, and accurate labeling.
  • · Verify that products are properly tagged in Metrc, have required laboratory testing, and include labels that meet applicable OLCC requirements and potency limits.
  • · Promptly report packaging inconsistencies, damaged items, questionable products, or compliance concerns to department leadership.
  • · Support the secure storage, organization, staging, and processing of cannabis products and packaging materials.
  • · Maintain a clean and debris-free work area and properly secure packaging materials, Metrc tags, and cannabis products before leaving the facility.
  • · Assist team members with assigned tasks and support broader warehouse and distribution operations as directed by management.
  • · Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business and operational needs.

Requirements

  • · Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • · Must possess a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit or be able to obtain one before beginning employment.
  • · Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • · Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • · Ability to work collaboratively, communicate respectfully, and follow established procedures and direction.
  • · Comfort working with and directly handling cannabis products in a warehouse environment.
  • · Weekend availability is required based on operational needs.
  • · Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • · Previous packaging, production, warehouse, or distribution experience.
  • · Previous experience using Metrc or another regulated inventory-tracking system.
  • · Working knowledge of OLCC cannabis packaging, labeling, testing, and tracking requirements.
  • · Strong organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • · Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • · This position is on-site in a general warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • · The work environment may include varying temperatures, generally ranging from approximately 60°F to 100°F.
  • · This role frequently requires standing or sitting for extended periods, including periods of six hours or more.
  • · Regular handling of cannabis products, packaging materials, labels, and Metrc tags is required.
