Responsibilities
- Oversee content planning and curation and guide the editorial calendar.
- Ensure coverage of startups, technology, and business trends is insightful and relevant.
- Manage partnerships and supervise contributors or freelance writers.
- Guide brand positioning and audience growth.
- Monitor performance metrics, make data-informed decisions, and ensure efficient, ethical operations.
Qualifications
- Editorial judgment and experience in content creation, publishing, or media leadership; startup, technology, or business focus is preferred.
- Entrepreneurship, investment, or operating background in high-growth companies and familiarity with regional and global startup ecosystems.
- Ability to set strategy and priorities and manage projects or small teams, including freelancers and external partners.
- Comfort with content, analytics, and remote-collaboration tools; familiarity with newsletters, social media, and online audience growth.
- Excellent written and verbal English; additional MENA-region languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills; able to interpret market trends and audience data.
- Able to work independently, balance multiple responsibilities, and work in a flexible part-time, hybrid environment.
- A degree in Business, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is valued.
