Responsibilities

  • · Demonstrating a strong commitment to all aspects of safety
  • · Assist in the planning and sequencing of outage phases, helping to align tasks with constructability principles.
  • · Support the evaluation of the feasibility of each outage phase, learning to identify potential constructability issues.
  • · Help with the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment and materials, to each outage phase to ensure optimal use.
  • · Collaborate with other departments to learn how outage sequencing is coordinated with project timelines and operational constraints.
  • · Assist in monitoring outage progress, identifying issues or delays and communicating them to the team.
  • · Contribute to maintaining records and documentation related to outage sequencing.
  • · Maintaining a questioning attitude.
  • · Learn, promote and uphold all safety standards, expectations, and protocols during outage sequencing and execution consistent with utility and CARIAN standards.

Qualifications

  • · Junior’s or bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in a program such as electrical engineering technology, energy management, relay technician training or a related technical field is a plus. We will also consider candidates with a high school diploma and a demonstrated aptitude for this type of work.
  • · A strong desire to learn about outage sequencing, construction processes and system operations.
  • · Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products, such as Excel and Word.
  • · An aptitude for understanding technical principles and resource management.
  • · Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • · Eagerness to learn scheduling and project management tools.
  • · Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and a strong desire to grow with the company.
  • · Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • · Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • · Works safely according to company policies and procedures
  • · Valid driver license.
