Job Description
The Specialist in Orthopedics is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic services across both in-person clinic and virtual consultation settings, operating under the supervision of the Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon.
The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, degenerative conditions, and sports injuries, delivered seamlessly through face-to-face clinic appointments and remote telemedicine consultations.
The Orthopedic Specialist utilizes digital health platforms and EMR systems to ensure continuity of care across both channels, while contributing to clinical quality, patient safety, and professional development in support of integrated orthopedic services at Bupa CareConnect.

- Provide structured virtual and in-person follow-up care, monitoring patient treatment adherence and recovery progress.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon or multidisciplinary teams when required.
Clinical Quality and Patient Safety
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance requirements and patient safety standards across both in-person and virtual care settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation for all patient interactions, including virtual consultation records and digital prescriptions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and departmental meetings.
- Report and manage clinical incidents and adverse events in a timely and appropriate manner
- Adhere to ICC infection control protocols, telemedicine practice standards, and professional conduct requirements.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate with healthcare teams across in-person clinics and digital orthopedic service channels.
- Coordinate referrals, investigations, and continuity of care seamlessly across virtual and face-to-face encounters.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and virtual clinical handovers
- Support smooth patient transitions between virtual consultations and in-clinic or surgical care when escalation is required.
- Liaise with administrative and support teams to ensure scheduling, documentation, and authorizations are managed across both care modalities.
Patient Experience and Education
- Provide empathetic, patient-centered orthopedic care with clarity and professionalism in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, rehabilitation, and home-based exercises in a clear, accessible manner suitable for remote delivery.

- Support service excellence initiatives and respond to patient feedback for continuous improvement.
Professional Development and Leadership
