Role overview

Clinical responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and interpret imaging and laboratory investigations.
• Provide conservative and non-surgical treatment; perform or assist with procedures within scope of practice.
• Refer patients for surgical intervention or other specialist care when required.
• Maintain timely medical records and educate patients about diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention.
• Coordinate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals; follow infection-control, safety, and clinical-governance standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Orthopedics or Orthopedic Surgery.
• At least four years of relevant post-qualification clinical experience.
• Valid DOH professional license or eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a hospital, specialty clinic, or multispecialty healthcare setting.
• Experience managing acute orthopedic injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
• Additional certifications or relevant professional training.
