Role overview

Order picking and quality

• Use digital pick-lists on handheld scanners or smartphones to gather items across store departments.
• Check barcodes, quantities, and expiration dates for accurate selection.
• Inspect fresh items against store quality standards.
• Follow substitution policies for out-of-stock items and communicate with customers or team leads as needed.

Packing and store operations

• Pack items securely, keeping chilled, frozen, and ambient goods separated.
• Label and stage packed orders in designated holding areas, refrigerators, or freezers.
• Report low stock, damaged goods, and misplaced items to supervisors.
• Keep packing and staging areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Meet KPIs for picking speed, order accuracy, and turnaround times.

Experience and skills

• Retail, supermarket, warehouse, or order-picking experience is preferred; fresh candidates are welcome.
• Requires attention to detail, accuracy, efficient work in a fast-paced environment, and deadline management.
• Candidates should be comfortable using handheld barcode scanners, mobile apps, and tablets.
• Good communication and a customer-first mindset are requested.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and push or pull shopping carts for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 15–20 kg.
• Must be comfortable working briefly in chilled and frozen storage areas.

Pay

• The posting lists AED 1,100–1,300 per month and mentions incentives and tips.
