Oracle SOA Senior Developer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations using Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, Oracle BPM, and reusable SOA service patterns.
• Develop SOAP Web Services and REST APIs using XML, XSD, XSLT, XQuery, WSDL, DTD, and related standards.
• Configure and manage OWSM, BAM, EDN, MDS, and other SOA components; administer Fusion Middleware and WebLogic.
• Perform deployment, patching, upgrades, environment maintenance, and configuration of data sources, connection pools, users, roles, JMS servers, queues, and topics.
• Manage SSL certificates, KeyStores, security configurations, and secure service communication.
• Monitor and maintain the SOA dehydration store, including timely purging and housekeeping.
• Troubleshoot middleware, integration, performance, and environment issues; conduct root-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Support development and production environments; collaborate with development, network, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams.
• Support CI and version control with Jenkins, ANT, and SVN; participate in the software development lifecycle and integration testing.
• Apply networking knowledge to diagnose connectivity issues and work with Oracle Application Gateway as required.

Required technical skills

• Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12c; OSB 11g/12c; Oracle BPM; BPEL, Mediator, SCA, Human Task, ADF, and Business Rules.
• Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware administration; OWSM, BAM, EDN, MDS, JMS, queues, and topics; Oracle Application Gateway.
• SOAP Web Services, REST APIs, XML, XSD, DTD, XSLT, XQuery, WSDL, WS-* standards, SOAPUI, and Web Services testing tools.
• Jenkins, ANT, SVN, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, connection pools, data sources, and middleware deployment configurations.
• Middleware patching and environment configuration; SSL, KeyStore, certificate management, SOA security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems; networking fundamentals including routing, subnets, and firewalls.

Qualifications and experience

• Demonstrated Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, and enterprise integration development experience; strong hands-on experience with SOA Suite 11g/12c and OSB 11g/12c.
• Experience administering Oracle Fusion Middleware and WebLogic, including deployment, patching, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with XML technologies, Web Services, messaging infrastructure, integration patterns, enterprise middleware support, and complex technical issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and integration testing practices.
• Oracle Application Gateway experience is required by the project.
• A relevant bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Knowledge of SOA infrastructure, middleware security, enterprise networking, performance tuning, production support, and service reliability improvement is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
