Role Context & Purpose
As part of a
greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing setup
, the
Operator - Compression
plays a crucial role in
Tablet compression
while ensuring compliance with
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines
.
The incumbent is responsible for
operating and maintaining Compression Machine, monitoring production parameters, and ensuring product quality
during the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Compression machine as per SOPs.
- Perform batch processing as per batch manufacturing records (BMR).
- Monitor temperature, RH and pressure to ensure compliance with formulation standards.
- Maintain batch records, logbooks, and process documentation as per regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure product consistency and uniformity.
- Work closely with QA, QC, and engineering teams to resolve production issues and deviations.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of Compression machines and related equipment.
- Ensure Cleaning, Maintenance and storage of Dies & Punches.
- Adhere to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental health & safety (EHS) regulations.
- Identify and report any deviations, defects, or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize the manufacturing process to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.
EXPERIENCE + EXPOSURE + EDUCATION
- Education: High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical industry.
Key Skills
- Hands-on experience with Compression machine (preferably Fette).
- Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance in OSD formulations.
- Familiarity with sterile and non-sterile manufacturing processes.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
