Operations Support Engineer

Qualifications

• You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
• Minimum Qualifications
• The position requires a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering
• Self-motivated with experience supporting Operations teams in process improvement initiatives.
• Skills and knowledge
• Knowledge of chemical composition and properties of the chemicals used and an understanding of chemical reactions they undergo,
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs,
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the processing of chemicals from raw materials to final products
• an awareness of all assigned processes, including auxiliary units
• Knowledge of geometry, calculus, probability, statistics and their applications, trained in or capable of learning Aspen simulation software, advanced excel techniques, regression analysis, and developing and understanding PFD’s and P&ID’s
