An Operations Process Engineeroptimizes manufacturing, production, or industrial workflows to maximize efficiency, quality, and safety while reducing costs.
Key duties include analyzing process trends, troubleshooting equipment issues, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing new, cost-effective technologies.
They work to improve production capacity and ensure compliance with safety/regulatory standards.
Process Optimization
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and yield.
Design Implementation
Design, test, and install new equipment or process upgrades to enhance production capabilities.
Troubleshooting
Identify, diagnose, and resolve daily operational and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Documentation Compliance
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Safety Quality
Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards, such as ISO.
Data Analysis
Monitor process KPIs, such as cycle times and yield rates, to inform data-driven decisions.
Training Collaboration
Train operators on new processes and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams.
