About the Team
The Operations division delivers client service and administration functions across a full suite of financial products.
The team ensures client requests are processed efficiently, service standards are achieved and strong relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders.
Operations focuses on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement as a key enabler of exceptional client experience.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and support two Team Leaders and their teams to achieve service and operational objectives.
- Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with compliance obligations.
- Manage escalated issues and act as key point of contact for operational matters.
- Drive workforce planning, capability development and ongoing team training.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Take ownership of operational performance and daily business outcomes.
- Manage and oversee operational compliance activities including audits and committee requirements.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and compliance obligations are consistently met.
- Maintain strong governance and risk management practices across the function.
Projects, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to strategic projects and provide operational expertise across the business.
- Work closely with technology and business application teams to resolve system issues and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Identify, document and champion process improvements, system enhancements and automation opportunities.
- Support initiatives that improve scalability, efficiency and client experience.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong people leadership capability including coaching and developing Team Leaders.
- Deep understanding of operational processes and systems within financial markets.
- Experience supporting equity market and fixed income products.
- Strong knowledge of client onboarding processes including AML/KYC requirements.
- Understanding of relevant ASIC and ASX regulatory frameworks and market rules.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Desirable
- Qualifications in finance, business, commerce, or a related discipline.
- Experience with wholesale bonds and fixed interest products.
