Role Description

The Operations Manager role at Nama is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah.

The Operations Manager will oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, floor supervision, and coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include monitoring food quality and hygiene standards, enforcing safety and compliance protocols, and maintaining inventory levels for ingredients and supplies.

The role also involves managing vendor relationships, controlling operational costs, and supporting budget and sales targets.

The Operations Manager will coach and develop team members, handle guest feedback, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations management, with a strong understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse teams, with effective people management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, with a track record of maintaining high operational standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including experience with scheduling, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities to address guest needs and feedback.
  • Comfort with basic restaurant systems and tools (POS, inventory software, spreadsheets) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment; experience with grilled or specialty concepts is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
  • Proficiency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus for interacting
