The manager will lead supervisors, lead hands, maintenance staff, and production staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily production meetings, operational planning, and process improvement work.
- Track performance and accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Coach supervisors, lead hands, and production staff, including performance management and succession planning.
- Support hiring, workforce planning, scheduling, and production plans.
- Resolve bottlenecks, capacity constraints, workflow inefficiencies, and delivery risks.
- Oversee preventive maintenance planning and conduct floor walks and operational audits.
- Maintain accurate production, labor, and quality data in the ERP system.
- Bring recommendations and solutions to leadership.
Candidate requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Experience coaching and developing supervisors or team leads.
- Technical background in fabrication, machining, or a related manufacturing process.
- Comfort using ERP systems and Excel to analyze capacity, labor efficiency, and delivery data.
- Experience driving lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of cutting, forming, or coating processes is an asset.
