The Operations Manager (e-commerce) plays a critical role in orchestrating the seamless functionality of the company’s e-commerce logistics.
This position involves the management of e-commerce processes, focusing on the optimization of inventory systems, order fulfillment, and delivery logistics, to ensure exceptional customer experiences and efficient business operations.
The Operations Manager will leverage data analytics to streamline operations, improve supply chain efficiency, and implement best practices.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of both operations management and e-commerce dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the e-commerce supply chain.
- Develop and implement strategies for order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to streamline e-commerce operations and enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies across operations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and enhance team productivity.
- Manage budgetary constraints and optimize cost-effective operational strategies.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and implement inventory control measures.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills of the operations team.
- Liaise with technology teams to maintain robust e-commerce platforms and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the e-commerce sector.
- Proven track record of managing supply chain and logistics operations effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and process optimization.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, inventory systems, and logistics software.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
