Operations Manager

Role Summary

1. Operations & Supply Chain Management

• Lead and manage daily operations covering procurement, warehousing, logistics, and delivery.
• Ensure all supplies, equipment, and materials meet technical specifications required by clients.
• Oversee international shipments, customs clearance, export/import documentation, and last‑mile delivery to mission locations.
• Maintain strict compliance with Incoterms, QA/QC standards, and client‑specific operational procedures.

2. Contract Execution & Client Coordination

• Manage operational execution of awarded contracts, ensuring on‑time and in‑full delivery.
• Coordinate with Clients.
• Prepare operational reports, delivery schedules, and performance updates for clients.
• Ensure adherence to contract and compliance requirements.

3. Supplier & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of meeting international mission requirements.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews, technical compliance checks, and quality inspections.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and service agreements to optimize cost and efficiency.

4. Compliance, Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all operations comply with industry standards.
• Oversee preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, MSDS, QA certificates, and other mandatory documentation.

5. Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Coordination

• Lead operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to achieve performance targets.
• Coordinate with finance, business development, and procurement teams to support tender submissions and contract execution.
• Train staff on compliance, safety, and operational procedures.

6. Strategic & Continuous Improvement

• Optimize supply chain processes to reduce cost, improve delivery speed, and enhance service quality.
• Implement digital tools for tracking, reporting, and operational visibility.
• Support expansion into new markets and product categories aligned with UN, U.S. defense contractors, and Oil & Gas demand.

Qualifications & Experience

• **Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field**
• Operations experience in general trading, humanitarian supply chain, defense contracting, or Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and international logistics.
• Experience managing multi‑country operations across Africa, Middle East, and Asia.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and logistics management.
